Château Mouton Rothschild Vertical Collection
Château Mouton Rothschild Vertical Collection
(1945 - 2005)
Long known for its artist labels, Chateau Mouton Rothschild is possibly the most coveted wine in the world.
The late Baron Philippe de Rothschild laid a milestone in the history of wine making in Bordeaux when he began to incorporate works of art on the labels of Chateau Mouton Rothschild. Each vintage label of Mouton features a different work of art by famous artists such as Picasso, Marc Chagall, Andy Warhol, and Jean Hugo. A vertical collection of Chateau Mouton Rothschild makes an instant art gallery of miniature art pieces. When the Baroness Philippine de Rothschild took over the chateau after the Baron’s passing, the list of artists expanded beyond Europe to include artists from the Far East such as Setsuko from Japan and Gu Gan from China.
The Chateau Mouton Rothschild Vertical Collection consists of 1 bottle of each vintage from 1945 to 2005. There are 2 bottles each for vintages 1978 and 1993 as both vintages have 2 different labels produced.
